The Land Rover propshaft UJ goes bang!

I had huge vibrations driving the Land Rover recently, which rapidly turned into grinding noises.

Upon arriving back at home, a quick look underneath revealed one of the UJ's on the front propshaft had bust, and all the bearings had disappeared. This was due to lack of greasing from both me and the previous owner - not good, and I should have known better!

As I needed the Landy back on the road quickly, I opted to buy a whole new propshaft, which takes less than half an hour to fit. You can find out here how to change a propshaft on a Land Rover.

The UJ's can be replaced, so the propshaft is now in my garage where I can replace the UJ's at my leisure. Upon completion, I will have a fully refurbished spare propshaft in case of any off roading disasters in the future!
