The new twin fan assembly I salvaged from the scrap yard!To kick off the new series on improving your Land Rover's fuel economy, we will take a look at the electric fan.

Engines need to be cooled in use of they would overheat and seize.

Up to the latest generation Land Rover, fixed or viscous fans were driven by belts on the engine, whether the engine needed to be cooled or not.

Very Stuck Discovery Video!

This is one very stuck Discovery in todays video.

Firstly a winch recovery was tried, but it broke the recovery point on the Disco. So it was time for a 6 wheel drive Ural truck to recovery the striken Land Rover - and even then it struggles for a while!

RGS Overland Workshop

The Royal Geographical Society Overland Travel Workshop is an event held annually in York, in the north of England, and it's coming up again in a few weeks time.

The Overland Workshop brings desert guides, experienced overlanders, expedition navigators and expedition medics together to inform the interested traveller on how they can equip their vehicle and plan their own trip.

There will be a small selection of trade stands, a group of example overland vehicles and a programme of lectures and demonstrations.

Cuddly Land Rover Orangutan Soft Toy

Land Rover Orangutan TeddyHere's one the kids! I haven't featured a toy for for a while, so this week its a cute cuddly Orangutan from Land Rover.

Borneo is always been a place I would like to visit to check out the Orangutans in the wild. I know a few people which have been, and they report that it is a wonderful experience.

As always, these gorgeous adorable Land Rover soft toys are hugely popular, but by buying this Orangutan you will be helping directly to the support of Orangutans in Borneo - how cool is that? :) Good work Land Rover!
