The overdrive has long been a favourite amongst Land Rover owners.

Its one of the simplest bolt on solutions available, which still gives you the usual standard gear ratios.

The overdrive is available for series Land Rovers and Defenders fitted with the LT230 transfer gearbox.

The overdrive can be left disengaged for normal use and engaged in any gear, high or low range to give you intermediate gears and a higher road to engine speed.

I had one fitted to my old series 3 Land Rover, and it really did make a difference when you needed an extra gear between 3rd and 4th when climbing local hills. On a run it helped make the Land Rover a bit more civilised.

Definitely a worthwhile modification!
