Improve your Land Rover fuel economy: Air Filter
Last week we focussed on using an electric fan to help improve your Land Rovers fuel economy.
This week it is the turn of the often overlooked air filter.
If you restrict the air entering the combustion chamber, you'll end up reducing engine power.
For optimum performance you would run an engine without any restriction, but in reality this would cause more problems and dirt getting into the engine and causing damage.
Performance air filters allow the air to flow more freely, which will help to achieve maximum combustion in the engine.
Just take a look at the difference here between an old and new air filter. Changing the air filter would definitely help free up the air flow in this instance.

just read both articals on improving economy, the electric fan and the air filter, just wondering if or how preformance would be improved or not , if a small fan was mounted in a cut out on the lid of the air filter box and air was forced in through the air filter, just a thought
