Happy Birthday – Land Rover Blog is 1 today!

Land Rover Blog is 1 today! Its exactly 1 year ago since I started the Land Rover Blog (or Land Rover Discovery blog as it was known then!)

When I started the blog, it was nothing more than to a way of documenting the work and modifications to my Land Rover Discovery - but it soon became much more than that.

Now the aim is to help out other Land Rover owners with tips, tricks, tech articles, and relevant Land Rover information and products. Lets have a little look back on how it all started.

It all started with the purchase of a rusty Land Rover Discovery on 26th January 2009. I purchased it off eBay for £600 and it was a bit rougher than I expected - but it made for some good articles like common Discovery rust areas!

The blog rapidly expanded as I added some driving and tech articles during February, mainly aided by the large amount of snow!

In March along came another Discovery, this time a black auto 300tdi ES model that I kept for most of the year. It featured in even more articles, including the very popular how to remove the EGR on a 300Tdi Discovery.

In November the Discovery Blog changed to the Land Rover Blog to encompass all types of Land Rovers. The main reason was the purchase of the current project vehicle - the Land Rover 110.

Since October, I have been adding articles 5 days a week, and intend to keep this up going forward into 2010. I intend to build on the 1st years success, and have a number of ideas in the pipeline. Lets put it this way, I am not going to be short on things to write about.

So all that remains to be said is thanks for supporting the Land Rover blog! I know a lot of people read it and I hope it proves useful to you. Thanks also for all the comments or questions you email me.
