Bent Land Rover roof rack
I guess it was going to happen at some point, but during a greenlaning trip last week, the roof rack came into contact with a tree on a tricky section and bent some of the bars on the rack.
So one afternoon over the weekend I set to work on straightening it out again.
Do do this this I had to use the high lift jack.
I used the foot of the high lift to brace against bent section of rack, and used a piece of ply wood to spread the force onto the other side of the roof rack.
I then "jacked" the two apart, which forced the bent sections of rack into shape again (well, as straight as I can get it!)
It just goes to show the versatility of the high lift jack, and the way it can be used for spreading or clamping.
